DB Schenker was named Brose key supplier for 2017

Brose, an international automotive supplier, has designated Schenker Deutschland AG a “key supplier” for 2017 for its many years of successful logistics partnership with Brose. DB Schenker coordinates and manages global land, air and ocean freight transport for Brose.

High level of expertise in global multimodal transportation

Brose has stuck with DB Schenker because of the continuity of its services and the high level of expertise it provides in global multimodal transportation.

The Schenker office in Coburg works with the Complex Solution Center in Bamberg to serve as the “Brose Traffic Desk,” managing and invoicing material flows for the transport of full and empty containers by truck throughout Europe, covering countries as far apart as Spain and Russia. DB Schenker handles an average of some 250 individual orders per day in this segment. In Nuremberg, DB Schenker also manages annual ocean freight volumes of several thousand general purpose containers, as well as project-specific air freight service.

“Brose is an important customer for us, and we are very pleased, and very proud, that they have chosen to explicitly recognize our services,” says Hartmut Eckardt from DB Schenker Business Development Automotive in Bamberg. “We share a similar mentality, and this may well have been a factor in helping our business relationship to flourish. Like Brose, DB Schenker has a very international focus. But although we are a large company, and although we have a global presence, we still have our feet firmly planted on the ground, as you can see at our sites in Coburg and Nuremberg.”
